The Agricultural Research and Extension Center of National Formosa University was established in accordance with the Ministry of Agriculture’s regulations on cooperation in agricultural research, education, and extension. In collaboration with the Taiwan Agricultural Managers Association, a one-year farmer education program is offered at the university. The purpose is to introduce intelligent, technological, and precision-based knowledge, along with the spirit of environmental sustainability, into the curriculum. This aims to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s farmers in production and marketing, increase awareness of environmentally friendly practices, and cultivate a new generation of farmers equipped with innovative management concepts, smart agriculture production knowledge, and safe agricultural techniques.
Farmer University not only teaches agricultural knowledge but also continuously promotes an apprenticeship-based teaching model, allowing agricultural experience to be passed on. In addition, farmers are encouraged to engage with fellow participants and instructors through attending classes, fostering strong networking and clustering effects.
This year, Farmer University will further incorporate more technological agriculture, organic farming cultivation management techniques, and practical applications into its curriculum. Through the one-year training program, it aims to provide a solid learning pathway for those who wish to engage in smart agriculture, organic farming, or enhance their agricultural knowledge in the future, jointly building a high-quality agricultural product image and creating new value for Taiwan’s agriculture.
Eligibility:
Farmer University does not impose restrictions on age, gender, region, or educational background.
